Listing title reconciliation
Align renamed marketplace cards with the original drop title so a foil cover does not vanish after a wording change.
Marketplace cards get rewritten. A cover that launched as “inked skyline variant” may later appear as “premium linework.” Collectors then think they own two comics or none. Reconciliation walks the old title, the new title, and the artwork still on screen, then writes a mapping sentence.
We look for:
- Unchanged issue numbers hiding under new marketing language
- Foil treatments that lost the word foil in a later card
- Animated loops still running under a static-sounding name
- Duplicate listings that are actually the same mint
Marvel names stay in the collector’s vocabulary because that is how the listings are searched. They remain trademarks of their owners.
